On 27th November 2023, the managing director along with engineers Hemwatie Bisram, Risha Cozier and Keriann Lagan toured the project as part of a training exercise for the junior engineers who have primarily been limited to PT foundation design.

The project is valued at approximately TT$18M is being funded by the private owner and boasts of 30 ft. clear spans, curved staircases, skylight over the atrium and swimming pool. The foundation was a PT slab on grade with stiffening ground beams to receive RC columns.

The upper floors were also PT suspended floor slabs with concrete beams containing post tensioning tendons with draped profiles and supplementary traditional reinforcement for resisting stresses associated with cyclic seismic loading.

The project did have a steep learning curve and the client was tolerant of the fact that time was required for desk study, training, design tool development, troubleshooting and quality assurance.
