Aleron’s main core business is design-build projects. That means basically that we do a lot of work inclusive of value engineering designs for contractors. Therefore our work is under constant scrutiny from third party consultants representing either the client or statutory agencies. While it may not be the primary reason, it is definitely a contributory factor in the decision to pursue this certification. Internal quality assurance is essential towards not only ensuring a premium quality product but in reducing countless hours in what can seem to be endless rounds of reviews and comments on deliverables issued by our firm. We have therefore decided to embark on a drive to not only further develop and sharpen our technical competencies within the organization, but ensure that the proper checks and balances are in place to avoid embarrassing and/or costly mistakes.
Our main driving force behind seeking this certification is a personal desire to be better….Secondary to this is that it has become a nationwide norm to commence works on site whilst awaiting final approvals and it is comforting for our clients to know that when the review is complete there are no changes to the design, thus mitigating abortive works. Our firm has already commissioned the services of a Quality Assurance Consultant to review and upgrade our existing system and get us ISO 9001 certified in 2021. We understand that with this certification comes regular audits and surveillances – a fact that we welcome all in the interest of increased efficiency among members of staff.
